This Privacy Policy describes how VerdantStory (“VerdantStory,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares Personal Information when you use https://verdantstory.com and the related pages we operate (the “Site”).
The Site is hosted, and checkout is processed, with help from Fourthwall, Inc. Fourthwall’s own privacy terms may also apply to payment and platform features.
The Site is intended for customers in the United States.
By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Personal Information we collect
Information you give us
You may give us information when you browse, order, join an email list, or write to us. That can include:
- Name, email address, shipping address, and phone number
- Account details, if you create an account (name, contact information, login credentials, and order history)
- Messages you send us, and the contact details you include
- Preferences you set (for example, marketing opt-in or cookie choices)
You do not have to give us this information, but we cannot complete an order or answer a support request without the details that request needs.
Payment information
When you pay, our payment vendors collect the card or wallet details needed to charge you and to check for fraud. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our vendors may collect:
- Log data (IP address, browser type and settings, date and time)
- Usage data (pages viewed, clicks, referring URL, how you move through the Site)
- Device data (device type, operating system, browser, device identifiers)
- Approximate location inferred from IP address
- Cookie and similar technology data, described in Section 5
- Photos and notes you send with an order or quality claim
Information from vendors
Vendors who help us run the shop; including Fourthwall, payment processors, shipping partners, analytics tools, and email tools; may give us Personal Information related to your order or visit. We may combine that with information we already have.
2. How we use Personal Information
We use Personal Information to:
- Take orders, make products after you order them, ship them, and handle quality issues and replacements
- Create and maintain an account if you choose to have one
- Charge you and prevent fraud
- Answer questions and send order or shipping updates
- Send marketing email if you opt in, and stop when you unsubscribe
- Understand how the Site is used and improve it
- Keep the Site secure
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights
- Complete a sale or transfer of the shop, if that ever happens
We may create aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you and use that for analytics, reporting, and improving the shop. We do not try to re-identify that data unless the law requires it.
3. Who we share Personal Information with
We do not sell your name or order list as a mailing list. We do share Personal Information with vendors who need it to run the shop, and in the cases below.
- Fourthwall, Inc., a Delaware corporation, (our Merchant of Record) which hosts the Site and provides ecommerce, checkout, and related tools
- Other vendors: payment processors, production and shipping partners, email and customer-service tools, analytics providers, security and fraud tools, and professional advisers
- Authorities when we believe in good faith that we must, including to answer a lawful request
- Parties to a sale, merger, financing, or transfer of the shop
- Other parties when you ask us to, or when you give consent
Production partners and carriers receive the name, address, and order details needed to make and deliver your item.
4. Analytics and advertising
The Site may use Google Analytics and similar tools to see how people use the shop.
We may also use cookies or pixels so we or advertising partners can measure campaigns and show you ads about VerdantStory after you visit the Site. Under California law, some of that disclosure can count as a “sale” or “sharing” of Personal Information. See Section 7.
You can limit cookies in your browser. If you turn cookies off, checkout or saved preferences may not work as expected. You can manage consent for this Site where a cookie banner or preference tool is offered.

5. Cookies
We and our vendors use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run the Site, keep you signed in if you have an account, remember a cart, measure traffic, and support advertising described above. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies where we give you that choice.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but your browser may allow you to modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you disable cookies, you may be prevented from taking full advantage of the Services, because the Services may not function properly. You can manage your consent for this website .
6. Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message. You will still receive order and shipping email.
- Ask us to correct or update account or order details.
- Request access, deletion, or correction as described in Section 7.
- Use the advertising and cookie controls in Section 4.

7. California privacy rights
This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA”), applies to us.

Sensitive Personal Information
If you create an account, we collect login credentials. We use that only to run the account and keep it secure. We do not use sensitive Personal Information for purposes that require a separate CCPA limit request.
“Sale” and “sharing”
We may disclose identifiers, commercial information, and internet/device activity to analytics and advertising partners. California law may treat that as a “sale” or as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To opt out, email contact@support.verdantstory.com or send a GPC signal from your browser. An opt-out applies to that browser or device unless we can match you another way.
We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of anyone under 16.
Your CCPA requests
Subject to legal exceptions, you may ask us to:
- Tell you the categories of Personal Information we collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared
- Give you a copy of certain Personal Information
- Correct inaccurate Personal Information
- Delete certain Personal Information
- Opt out of sale or sharing
We will not deny goods, charge a different price, or give a different quality of service just because you used these rights, except as the CCPA allows (for example, if we cannot fulfill an order without the data).

Financial incentives
If we ever offer a referral or similar discount that collects Personal Information, we will describe it at the time. Joining is voluntary. You can stop at any time.
Shine the Light
We do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing.
8. Children
The Site is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you think we have, email contact@support.verdantstory.com and we will delete it.
You must be 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to place an order.
9. Retention
We keep Personal Information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, including to fill orders, handle quality issues, keep tax and accounting records, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it where practical.
10. Security
We and our vendors use administrative and technical safeguards that are reasonable for a shop of this size. No online transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that Personal Information will never be accessed without authorization.
11. Where information is processed
We process and store Personal Information in the United States. Vendors may also process it in the United States. The Site is for US customers.
12. Other sites
The Site may link to Tree-Nation, social networks, payment pages, or other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before you give them information.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. The new Policy applies to later visits and orders. If a change is material, we will try to give extra notice, such as a note on the Site or an email where we have a valid address.
